Starting and Stopping the Express Server

Express Server runs as a collection of services on Windows and daemons on Linux. To start or stop the Express Server, you must start or stop all of the component services or daemons. You can start and stop the following services:

• The web server service or daemon. On Windows, this is the Worldwide Web Publishing service and on Linux this is the httpd daemon.
• The LizardTech Express Server Admin Backend service or daemon.
• The LizardTech Express Server Tomcat service or daemon.
• The LizardTech JPIP service or daemon.
